Tiger Jel Gold is on the lighter side of tackiness, which makes it really easy to work with. It stays where you put it, but it doesn’t string everywhere or make a mess when you’re assembling clutch drums, pumps, valve bodies, or seals.
It provides a good protective coating during assembly and helps prevent dry starts on initial startup. Once the transmission gets fluid moving through it, the gel breaks down and dissolves safely into the ATF.
We’ve used a lot of different assembly lubes over the years, and this is the consistency we prefer when building transmissions every day.
